Sprout Pouch Baby Slings are sized for you!
The Sprout Pouch is intended to fit snugly so that the baby's bottom rests between your navel and hip. A sling that is too large will be less comfortable on your shoulders and back and may feel insecure for the baby. If it's too small, it may feel binding for you or be very difficult to get the baby inside. Correct sizing is important!

How to Wear a baby sling
Baby Bottoms always sits on seam!
Once baby is positioned in the sling, adjust the length by folding the top layer down over your shoulder.

With sling folded in half edge-to-edge, make a cozy hammock for your babe - place her, bottom first between the layers. |
After baby gains head control, try sitting him up in the sling where he can see the world. Fabric remains folded edge-to-edge with baby in the envelope between the layers. |
(6 months to toddler) Your bigger baby will ride in comfort and style at your side. Unfold the fabric and bring the lower seam to the back of her knees. |
Bonding:
Baby attaches better with parents - A 1990 study at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons concluded that babies carried close to their mother's body in the first months of life showed significant increase in bonding and emotional health over babies carried in plastic infant seats. 1

Development:
Baby's brain develops better - Environmental experiences stimulate nerves to branch out and connect with other nerves, which helps the brain grow and develop. Baby wearing helps the infant's developing brain make the right connections. Because baby is intimately involved in your word, she is exposed to, and participates in, the environmental stimuli that you select and is protected from those stimuli that bombard or overload her developing nervous system. 2

Security:
Baby is happy and secure - Babies like to be carried. It's as simple as that.
Less Crying:
Baby cries less - Both research 3 and parents' observations show that carried babies cry less, perhaps because of the familiar motion that babies enjoyed while in the womb.

Learning:
Baby learns more - When worn in a carrier, baby is intimately involved in your world. He goes where you go and sees what you see. Because he is up at the voice and eye level, he learns the subtleties of body language and human expression. 2

Growth:
Baby grows better - Research suggests that babies, especially those born prematurely, who are held by a caregiver much of the time grow and thrive better 2

Ease:
Wearing baby makes your busy life easier - your baby needs to be held and you've got a list a mile long. With a sling, you can keep baby happy and still have a hand or two for yourself.
Why a Sprout pouch baby sling?
Fit:
The sprout pouch is sized to fit you so that your baby is carried above the hip - this "short" design holds baby snugly and reduces strain on your back. Baby can be worn from infant to toddler in the same sling (up to 35 lbs.) - their position changes as they grow.
Simplicity:
Your sprout pouch folds easily to fit into your purse or diaper bag. Its slim enough to be worn all day, easily moving baby in and out as you wish. There are no uncomfortable buckles or straps. It's easy to care for: machine wash warm, tumble dry low.
Comfort:
Made from two layers of woven cotton-lycra fabric the sprout pouch stretches in one direction - around your shoulder and baby's bottom - but won't stretch in length. This provides the stability your baby needs with the comfort you desire.
Versatility:
The sprout pouch can be worn over either shoulder. Some are reversible -solid fabric on one side, stylish print on the other.
Style:
Each sprout pouch is made from just enough attractive, high quality fabric - nothing drab, no excess material to tuck and tie.
